Taskers Trophy

Teams from Beauchief have been competing in this competition for over 10 years and what started as just one team of 7 players, over 50's men, has subsequently expanded to 3 men's teams and 1 ladies team. All matches comprise 7 matchplay singles.

The men compete for the Taskers Trophy and Taskers Plate, and the ladies for the Ian Burtoft Trophy. Indeed our ladies were the winners in 2019!!

All men's teams play at least two matches each year, as losing teams in the first round then compete in the Plate competition. All subsequent matches are straight knockouts in following rounds.

The ladies similarly always play at least two matches but play home and away against their first round opponents, followed by a straight knockout.
